6.20 TN-D Perma Patch Released

Liquidzigong with an EBOOT that'll permanently patch 6.20 TN-D into flash memory, meaning with each and every boot you'll automatically be homebrew enabled. Now that's cool. It no doubt works on PSP-1000 models, I've read success reports on PSP-3000, in fact there is a video below, PSP-2000's I have no idea, and PSPgo users ... you're SOL for sure. Maybe next time.

Disable "PROTECT FLASH0" in the VSH menu before running the patch. Use this patch at your own risk. It does write to flash memory. You've been warned. Update: I'm seeing mixed reports with respect to PSPgo compatibility -- some bricks, some success. Either way it's in your hands now. Download: 6.20 TN-D Permanent Patch - source: virtuousflame

1. use the downgrader (follow onscreen instructions)
2. use tn-d (HEN)
3. make sure flash protect is disabled (use vsh menu - press select at xmb) launch permapatch tn-d then press x when prompted then o when prompted. and there you go.

you can delete all that you have downloaded to do this afterwards.

It works on the go just make sure you test before you install if you get a crash than don't if your sussesful and reboot back to TN-D go for it...... if you have a 2000 and under have a pandora just in case

This tool is made to verify kgsws made vshmain camouflage law.

kgsws proposed a method, through camouflaged vshmain, and to start automatically enabled HEN.
I provide the basis of his methods and the source code that implements a tool that allows to run automatically after booting the machine 6.20 HEN. Already successful in the PSP-1000.This patch more dangerous, not the machine be used with caution Pandora.
Borrowing TN-D to demonstrate, I hope Total_Noobs understand.

Source code is provided.

Program will replace the flash0: / vsh / module / vshmain.prx for their own version.
The original vshmain will be copied to flash0: / vsh / module / vshorig.prx.

If the machine can not start because the vsh plug-in, boot by pressing R button will delete all the seplugins plug-ins list and flash1: / config.tn.
If the flash0: / vsh / module / vshorig.prx lost or damaged, boot according to O + X + SELECT + START button to copy ms0: / vshorig.prx to flash0: / vsh / module / vshorig.prx

Installation:

1. Into the TN-D, close flash0 protection. Into 6.20TN-D Permanenet Patch
2. Began to press the X button to start the installation, the program will back up the original vshmain.prx to ms0: / vshmain.prx, keep it good
3. If there is no issue under the program will ask you to test the generated camouflage vshmain, press the X button is strongly recommended to test the next
4. If you start the test, the program will exit, if no crash is like, and also TN-D, the note can be installed
5. To re-enter 6.20TN-D Permanenet Patch, this election does not test the installation
6. After installation, boot your PSP will automatically enter the TN-D

Here's the way I look at it. If you have a PSP1000 or fully hackable psp2000 use 5.00/5.03/5.50 CFW. If you have psp2000(unhacka ble)/3000/GO etc, play with both 6.20tn/6.35pro and see which one works better for you. I don't mean play, and find everything that is wrong with it. You will always find problems. In other words stop trying to bend the psp to your will. Bend your will to the psp. You can't have everything. If something doesn't work for you ask questions, search forums, try something else, or LEARN how to fix it. Don't just ask the devs to do it for you. They have done enough. Be happy for what you have, not angry about what you dont have. And thank the devs for making this stuff. You have all the time in the world to thank them while your sitting there waiting for their next release. They are the ones doing the work, and they ask nothing from you. They are giving you their product for FREE. If you want your psp to do things it can't do save up some money (donate to the devs) and hunt down a different model. If you can't do that fine, be happy with what you do have.

And a question to the devs. Where is a good start to learn this stuff? I am starting to learn Java/C/C+, and would eventually like to learn some of what you are doing.

I'd start looking for simple dump programs. You can find them anywhere. They unload all the scripts that run on your PSP and thats what makes the devs so great is they spend hours sifting through it. Or if they are clever use metas and tags to find certain code.

Let me explain something to you; 5.03 firmware is out dated. 5.03 Firmware + ChickHEN and GEN C and CFW Enabler are for the unhackable PSP's (Such as 2k/3k's).

You can upgrade your unhackable PSP's to 6.20, and run this perm patch TN-D. 5.03 will NOT have a perm patch it is OUT DATED.

There is no reason to be on 5.03 excluding the functionality of older plugins - if you upgrade to 6.20, YES there is a downgrader using 6.20TN-B to get back to 5.03 (even on unhackable motherboards are able to downgrade).

So you can try this 6.20 TN-D and if you don't like it go back to 5.03. The highest you can upgrade is 6.35 after that you can't downgrade on the unhackable PSP's.

There is no downgrader on 6.37

PSP TA-088v3's, PSP 3000's can upgrade to 6.20, downgrade back to 5.03. Or - upgrade to 6.35 use PRO-B,PRO-B3. If you don't like 6.35 and want to go back? Run the 6.35 Downgrader back to 6.20, then 6.20 TN-B back to 5.03.

The only PSP you can't 6.20 to 5.03 downgrade with is the PSPGo as 5.03 is too old for the PSPGo.

there is a good way to permanently hack your psp 6.20 by using zerorco patcher and the prx file that lets hen to stay permanently this way you can check if the prx will work for you and then flash it

i have a PSP 2000 with 5.50 prom4 on it, I'm loving some of these new plugins that are out for 6.20-6.3x, but won't changing my firmware corrupt my save files? like going for 5.50 promeX to like gen-d screws up your save files. I know theres a program to fix that, but is the one for this?

A tad odd, But I accidently installed this on my Psp Go.
After the reboot, I found the psp to be bricked.
Freaking out, I started turning it on and off, Sliding it up and down. Suddenly, The XMB appeared. With 6.20 TN-D as the firmware. But all my plugins are gone.. It's weird. But hey, It semi worked for me.

Okay, I was sick of that patch ruining my psp go.
So I updated to OFW 6.31 (After having my psp crash a few times)
After it updated, Everything was normal again.
So I downgraded to OFW 6.20, And now I'm back where I started. Odd, But the perm patch deleted everything on my psp go. Oh well.

haha! I run it on my PSP 3004 and it worked splendidly! Thank you very much, that was the very first time I attempted a modification on such a costly device as the PSP. But there are also downtimes. The negative aspect would be, that my PSP is now unable to access the recovery mode.Therefore it is also unable to enable any plugins so far, that is rather dissappointing... It would just boot normaly even with the R-Button pushed down while restarting. Oh well, hopefully this gets improved as I have no idea how I could compress my UMDs into safe .iso
