PSP Custom Firmware PRO-B10 Released

Submitted by greg; October 27, 2011

Liquidzigong, aka Virtuous Flame, aka Hrimfaxi has released his next iteration in the PRO line of custom firmwares: PRO-B10 for 6.60, 6.39, 6.35 and 6.20. And it's compatible with just about every PSP model. What's new? Well, as usual there's no CHANGELOG packed in the archive, but if you visit this page you can sift through the long list of commits. Otherwise install it and poke around... You won't be disappointed. Installation and other things of importance you can find here. And for the newcomers, let me re-post the "most frequently mentioned features" --
  • Homebrew Compatible - Run your own unsigned applications, both user and kernel mode.
  • Plugin Compatible - Add new features to your PSP via kernel mode background plugins.
  • ISO / CSO Game Dump Playback - Backup your own UMD discs via USB and play them from Flash Storage.
  • 2g+ Memory Range Unlock - Use the previously locked RAM range within your own homebrews.
  • NODRM Engine - Use your bought DLCs, no matter on which PSN account you are currently logged in.
  • PSX Emulator Unlock - Play your PSX classics, yes - all of them. Not just PSN titles.
  • And a lot more...
Me? I'm updating now. Download: PSP CFW PRO-B10 - source: google code

there's no official one by the looks of it, but you can find the full, very technical changes here http://code.google.com/p/procfw/source/list

This is awesome. I did have a quick question though; I have a PSP Slim 4g with OFW 6.35. Should I update the OFW to 6.60 since it is supported by the recent CFW Pro B-XX?

Is there any new features for this version of firmware? Gonna see the changelog before installing it into my PSP 2000.

The answer is yes, it works for the 3000 generation, I got the one that came with the Gran Turismo bundle, yes the gray PSP with a single dead pixel on it, and PRO B CFW works really good, but I haven't tried the permanent, installation, I just keep the fast recovery, and if the psp shutdown then just click on that, and everything will be good again.

With a Logical perspective, I think you need to have the eboot for the PRO B4 installer, then open it, and then select uninstall, that will remove all the changes, that the PRO B4 created in the different flash(0): - - - flash(n-1) where n is the higher number of flash(n). Then you will have your system back to the official firmware.

But since I hvn't tried that, because I don't like permanent installs, you will need to try it and post your experience to the millions of dash-hack friends that got their psp on a permanent CFW.

Is there a reason to upgrade to this from psp-2001 with 5.00 M33-6?  Would it help with new iso compatibility?  I have been pondering an upgrade but most everything works already, except a few titles.  I just need someone who knows lots about firmware to help me out.

thats crazy i have the exact same psp and same firmware and was about to ask this same question. I finally decided to do it simply because it allows me to have stock or custom firmware in just a few seconds. Can use it with my ps3 and dlc

I also have the same issue, still got 5.50 Prometheus v4.
Should I just download and install the 6.60 OFW, then run Pro-B10 and CIFL? Anyone tried to upgrade from 5.50 > 6.60? I'm using PSP-2001
