By now, a lot of us have probably turned in our old PSP for some newer devices. After all, that sleek Windows ultrabook is compact enough to take anywhere, and for once you don't have to worry about corporations stepping in on all your hacking fun. Quite possibly however, you might have moved on to the world of mobile smartphone gaming too. With phones like the Galaxy SIII taking the world by storm right behind the iPhone, Samsung is correct in saying that their series of Android powered phones just might be the next big thing.
That being said, why not take a peek at this little piece of software that will allow you to play PSP games on either of those brand spanking new devices? Sure the compatibility list is really quite slim, with just Puzzle Bobble Deluxe and Puyo Pop Fever really being the only truly playable titles mentioned by the developer, but if you like either of those games this is at least one place to start. Other titles like Wipeout Pure merely hang at the opening title screens, which shows signs of progress, but nothing that's really going to impact the end user. As with a lot of projects like this, it's going to take a lot of trial and error to see what does and doesn't work. As of right now however it seems your best luck will be in 2D. Here's a list of Android devices that this works best on.
•Nexus One (the slow GPU will probably be a problem later)
•Nexus S
•Nexus 7
•Galaxy Nexus
•Galaxy S2
•Galaxy S3
•Xperia Play
•Asus Transformer
•Ainol Novo7 Advanced II
I know we're limited here, but happy emulating folks!
