Depending on who you talk to, the XMB of the PSP and PS3 will either be loved or hated. Regardless of how you feel about the interface, this handy little Windows emulator started just yesterday by SvenGDK shows promising progress toward making the Cross-Media-Bar fully bootable from Windows.

PPSSP is a stable PSP Emulator for Windows, Mac, Android and Linux. But this update is only for Windows PCs. It doesn't matter if you have a x64 PC or a x86 PC, because "PPSSP 20130210" supports both of them. This is great for those who are on a x86 PC and still want to enjoy the PlayStation Portable on their PC.

With PRO-C2 being the first of hopefully many updates in PSP CFW, I'm sure there are still people who are unfamiliar with the PSP hacking scene, or getting rusty from a slow hacking scene who aren't sure on how to install this custom firmware. That is where this article comes in.

There are tons of emulators out there for Windows and Android, but as we know there aren't many choices when it comes to emulating PSP. While this is certainly an early release PPSSPP 0.1 shows some promise by being able to play some of the handheld's best.

Soywiz has released a new PSP Emulator this morning. With most of the news flying around about custom firmware its nice to see a dev putting something else out every now and then. This PSP emulator will allow you to play homebrew and some commercial demos with relative ease.
