XrossMediaBar Item Hider v1.3fix2 Released

Submitted by greg; December 13, 2011

Here's a little somethin' somethin' I missed: Frostegater's XrossMediaBar (XMB) Item Hider v1.3. It's a homebrew plugin that does just as the name suggests: Hide select XMB icons from view. XrossMediaBar Item Hider is compatible with custom firmware 5.xx and 6.xx. Copy the contents of XMB Item Hider to your seplugins directory and have a look at "xmbih.ini." There you're able to choose what icons to hide. Source code included; you don't need to copy "src" anywhere. Download: XrossMediaBar Item Hider v1.3fix2 - source: psdev.ru

Now this is seriously useful. I've always wanted to hide that freaking USELESS "extras" icon!! Thank you, Frostergater!

@ arren

"ef0:/seplugins/xmbih.prx 1"

but if you already have "xmbcontrol" then it will not work, just like on my pspgo unless someone find a way to make it work together

Okay, so I renamed VSH_go to VSH and got it to sort of work, the stuff under extra is gone but EXTRAS is still there :(

Works on the PSP Go. Few things to note.

> Parent Categories Remain as stated earlier.

> Triangle on Menu freezes system while plugin is in use.

Hope there is an update but otherwise, this is a great app.

What you can do, and you can do this without a plugin. Go to the recovery menu. and then configuration. change the fake region to debug 1 or 2. I forgot which one it is. I think 1. Then reset vsh and its gone.

which cfw are you using?
i'm using cfw 6.35 pro

first off all:

- create seplugins folder on your psp go root directory

- paste xmbih.ini and xmbih.prx 1 inside seplugins folder

- create a file with the note pad, copy and paste ef0:/seplugins/xmbih.prx 1

save as Vsh always in seplugins

* take note: you have to edit your setting on xmbih.ini first..
