Like my man Wololo says, I've seen many attempts at an online homebrew store, many which've failed due to lack of support or manpower. But this one -- this one seems to differ a bit. Add a professional look wrapped around some intuitive functionality and you get this new Genesis entry, appropriately titled "HomebrewStore."
Most notably, HomebrewStore v2.5 lets you queue content via its new iOS app. Yessir... Download that to your iPhone and not only can you browse all the HomebrewStore content, you can queue up homebrew that'll be automatically downloaded next time you fire up HomebrewStore on your PSP. Press L-Trigger + R-Trigger + Square from the storefront to access your PSP's device ID, which'll be entered in the iOS app.
All homebrew content on the store is signed, meaning all the emulators, games, apps, etc. are compatible with official firmware. Download, install and you're set to go. HomebrewStore is solid, for real... Check it out. Hopefully it remains up unlike other homebrew store attempts, or even PSN for that matter. Haha.
You can download HomebrewStore direct to your PSP by going to http://bit.ly/hbstore in your PSP web browser. Or visit the same URL on your PC to grab it and future updates.
HomebrewStore is powered by wonderful technology made to make your content retrieval experience the best possible. Updates to the database happen automatically, the store does not need to be restarted to see new content. Patches are installed automatically to the client upon connecting to the HomebrewStore Network, allowing for quick and easy installation of new features. New versions update from inside of the store entirely, no PC needed!

Also it would be awesome if besides the ios app there was a web portal one could use to browse and queue homebrew from the store.

Why does this come in a windows installer format? Isn't it supposed to be run on the PSP itself?
I really don't get this... i use gnu/linux, so i have no way to run it.
Can the author not just upload a zipper EBOOT format of the store? Really don't see the point in using a windows installer for installign the app to your PSP... any monkey can copy/paste a file via removable storage, don't need a program for "windows only" that does it for you.
I love the idea of this, but in its current form, it is useless.
