Easy 6.20 DualBoot Released

Submitted by greg; May 17, 2011

This is pretty cool, for anyone who wishes to jump between 6.20 TN and 6.20 PRO. It's Rinnegatamante's Easy 6.20 DualBoot that does exactly that -- boot either 6.20 TN or 6.20 PRO by pressing and holding "Start" during startup. Do note however, in the video you'll see a "6.20 OFW" option, which isn't actually implemented in the version you're about to download.
Instructions
  1. Copy PSP and seplugins folders to your PSP
  2. Install 6.20 TN-x
  3. Disable Flash0 Protection from Recovery Menu
  4. Install Permanent Patch
  5. Start Easy 6.20 DualBoot and Extract vshmain
  6. Uninstall Permanent Patch
  7. Install 6.20 PRO Xx
  8. Install Permanent Patch
  9. Start Easy 6.20 DualBoot and Extract vshmain
  10. Uninstall Permanent Patch
  11. Start Easy 6.20 DualBoot and Install DualBoot system modules
Commands (press & hold during PSP startup)
  • START: Access dual boot menu
  • R-TRIGGER: Starts Recovery (ms0:/recovery.prx)
  • O+X+SELECT+START: Restores vshorig.prx (ms0:/vshorig.prx)

I read some of the dev's comments at the psp genesis submission page for this & he is working on getting TN-E to work with this. I hope he gets it going with TN-E/ProBx. I use neurons 6.38me on my slim but my daughter would love to be able to TN-E/ProB5 Perma dual-boot.
Just so people know, you can still use OFW by making ProB4/5 your Default Hen & holding select on coldboot. I've tried this on 1g, 2g, & 3g with no problems. I went back to my previous firmware till TN-E is available though.

on 02g Model (TA-088v3 2K) I install 6.20 TN-E, Install TN-E's perma patch, back up VSHMAIN with DualBoot 6.20. uninstall perma patch.

run Pro-B5, install Pro-B4's Perma Patch, run DualBoot 6.20 - back up VSHMAIN uninstall perma patch

Install DualBoot 6.20 and it doesn't switch between TN-E and PRO B5, the TN-D option goes to Pro B5 instead of TN-E. Without dualboot it goes right into PRO B5 as well.

:(

I am a dumbass. Let the whole world know I am a dumbass. For all of you out there that are trying this, please proceede very carefully. The dual boot screen starts just fine, but no boot up on any options. Recovery menu will not work for pro-b6. I should have stuck with Tn-hen. If somebody finds help for this, please post in response. I have tried removing the card and booting from all options. I now have a brick...
