Wololo, Davee, Hellcat, and Lampworker have officially named the top 3 in the PSP Genesis Competition. First let me say I'm impressed with the turnout -- 111 entries -- that's a whole lot of 'brew. Mad respect to all the devs, the judges and the sponsors who made the PSP Genesis Competition a success. Props yo.
Like pimping, voting ain't easy... So lets start with the judge-nominated entries that unfortunately didn't win but nonetheless made a lasting impression: That's Localizer by Draan, PSP3D by PSPWizard, and SHELL by Arnold. More on those following the source link.
All right, without further ado, the official top 3 voted in by the judges:
- Drakon's LameCraft [$1900] [link]
While never featured on our home page, Lamecraft is a Minecraft-inspired game. Construct your own [3D] world and watch what happens. It's actually really awesome and I must apologize to Drakon for our slackerish behaviour on coverage (we'll front page it soon).
- Liquidzigong and Coldbird's PRO CFW [$750] [link]
The custom firmware that most of you are probably running nowadays ... ever since Dark_AleX left the scene. It's solid, it works -- it lets you do everything that Sony doesn't.
- some1: 0xFFFFFFFFailSploit [$400] [link]
A kernel exploit, in turn letting owners downgrade their PSP from firmware 6.3X to 6.20. I mean, what more can ya ask for? It's a kernel exploit!
Congratulations everyone! And it's not over yet -- there are still prizes and cash to be had. So don't forget to partake in the /talk and Dashhacks audience vote where you're the judge.

I never played Minecraft, as I never really found an interest in it - but since playing Lamecraft I can now understand why it is so addicting!!! hahaha.
It really shows the potential the PSP has, at 333MHz the homebrew was only maxing at around 40% CPU Load, and 60-70% on the GPU.
I wish we could see more Homebrew like LameCraft. Deserves First Place for sure!
