2.05 Soon To Fall Victim To Hackers on TN-V

While the PSP has been more or less completely owned by now, the PS Vita is something of a work in progress. Right now, all of the hacks we have run on the system's emulator so that means what we have is somewhat limited, but that does not make what hackers have done entirely ineffective. Rather, we have had to play a game of cat and mouse with each new firmware release. If our own HolmesInFive is correct, it won't be long till the very latest Sony offering once again falls to the clutches of our community.

XMB-PSP

I definitely love all the progress that has been made with hacking the PS Vita so far. With Total_Noob leading the charge with TN-V, the PSP experience comes even closer to being replicated through the addition of PSN access and a full XMB for users to cycle through. It's a pretty impressive feat to say the least, and will certainly breathe a lot of life into a system that I think really could use some. The only thing I really wish for someday is that we stop this sort of small-time game exploit pattern and move on to something more complete. Certainly it's easier said than done, but the PS Vita is one beast of a console and I would like to see those resources being utilized. If that were the case, I think emulation of systems like N64 wouldn't be too far off, which would be a pretty epic selling point. The PSP scene is amazing, but if we could somehow progress beyond that I would be first in line to pick up the now suffering Sony portable.

We close out our chat with talk of another struggling machine. Only this time it's out of Nintendo's corner!

How do you all feel about the use of 3k3y to play pirated games, or maybe the changing nature of the iOS scene. Are you okay with pirating games? Should we be paying for hacked tweaks?
