PRO Team Shows Us the PSP Scene Is Not Dead

The PSP scene has been around for almost a decade now, but if the view counts on related stories are anything to go by the community is far from going anywhere. Sure you might be able to get a pretty solid and similar experience on the PS Vita thanks to developers like Total_Noob, but at the same time, when you are just using VHBL to get into user mode, there's a sense that what you're getting isn't exactly the most complete ownage of a system that you could possibly want. Through offerings from the PRO team however, that has never been the case with the older system handheld, and that's what makes this system so gosh darn popular to hackers.

Having been around during the founding moments of the PSP community, seeing updates to software like this generally makes me pretty happy. What we get here is basically a set of fixes for all of the firmwares major features including homebrew support as well as ISO loading for PSP and PSX games. The best part of all this is, there's no fancy hardware you need to invest in. Instead, all you need is pretty much any PSP out on the market today and you'll have the chance to see all of the stuff that this website thrives on. If you're new to the site and are looking for a way to try some hacks, finding an old PSP is still one of your best bets in my opinion. Releases like the one we got this week serve to show that the community that started it all still has quite a bit of life left in it. A life that many of you could benefit from seeing.

If the PS Vita is still more your style, the next hot story is something that is definately worth considering for all scene participants!

How do you all feel about the use of 3k3y to play pirated games, or maybe the changing nature of the iOS scene. Are you okay with pirating games? Should we be paying for hacked tweaks?
