It's All About the Games
Of course when it comes to any new console it's always going to be about the games you play on it. Before we get to the new though, let's talk old and used ones. According to several different sites, the PS4 will likely feature measures to restrict the playing of used games. Essentially when you get a title, it is suspected you will have to first register it online with your account before you can play. Then you will have the option to play the game from the disc or rip all of it to your HDD. Should you get a used game at a store like Gamestop, you'll be limited to a trial mode of sorts with the option to purchase the ability to play the full game. To add to this, it is also suggested that because of this security, all of your old PSX-PS3 games won't work by playing from discs.

Now that we have the bad news out of the way, let's talk the good stuff. While details are all scarce to say the least, a few games believed to be in development for PS4 include titles from Naughty Dog, Ready At Dawn, and even Square Enix. Not a whole lot of specific names have been tossed around, but there has also been mention of a new Call of Duty as well. It will probably be a while before we hear specifics, but third-parties clearly seem invested.
My Prediction: I am fairly certain used games will be blocked in some way shape or form. If it's in the way my source describes, it sounds like there may be an easy work around, but I'm sure their bases are probably covered. As far as older games go, my hope is they will use Gaikai to smooth this out, but it may mean paying twice for games you already own on disc. When it comes to the new stuff, it's pretty much a guarantee that we will see something from these big time teams.

That's all I know! Now we'll have to wait till tomorrow to see which of these ideas is coming true!

The Developer Kit costs £400, around $450 or $500 i think... and the specs noted in the Developer Kit Notes seems unlikely to sell at $400 as they would lose a lot of money! (contract may change that)

My prediction, this current generation (PS3, Xbox360) is going to be the most popular last-gen systems ever once these next-gen ones roll out.
