The News Everyone Has Been Waiting For...PS4 Unveiled... Well Sort of

Everyone knows about the rumored PS4 specs at this point but what would it look like and how do you think it would run?
Well some of the OPM-UK thought they would try to find out. they went ahead and combined the list of rumored components and built the beast to see if it realy stands up to be a potential next gen system.
They pitted there FrankinStation 4 against a PS3 and an Intel i7 2700K to see exactly how it measured up in comparison. The results are sad I have to say. Both the PS3 and the Intel clocked in at 30fps while the Orbis pretender only came in at 21fps with minor graphics improvements.
On the upside we can still remember that the parts list for the PS4 is still under a rumor status until Sony tells us what the real deal will have under its hood. But even if its all true simply jamming a bunch of parts together and trying to test a PS4s capability is unreliable at best. When you develop a home console you know exactly what the hardware can do and you can get every last drop out of it and program for it based on what the max performance is of the machine. So just sit tight and we'll see what other news comes out about the future of the PlayStation name.

the components used in game consoles are hardware revisions usually only given to the console manufacturer. The chipsets processor and graphics will me modified versions of anything you can get on a PC & like the article says they specifically are all tuned together to squeeeze every last drop of power.
in a PC world a motherboard and chipset have to speak with 10 or 20 different types of processors , all motherboards have to be made to support all graphics cards a person could potentially buy and speak with diffrent companies RAM and so on and so forth.
with a Console they dont have to be that way cause they control all the hardware in a system and specifically tune all the hardware together.
simply put this test will not reflect the true speed of a console with off the shelf pc compents.

They not looks a sony style I not like it having my lap on front sims that franks PS4 or whatever. A PS4 need more board A board better conection areas infrastruckture to connect devices fans for cooling and GPU RSX better biggers for qualities on process. Isn't mini the way it is on proper amount on space good look and use able processors can make differnece and please the inclose a with a god fation art not that tinny CD player look if the coms like that spect to me open that and vent, soldering and that can finish on a frankienstein or whatever!!!! My PS3 is open to and I not like small housing covers no no no nooooo..... electrinic power not demo compact what? it can do or happen or etheir not works hahahahaha desingners are shake every meeting for talk about what can be creating to say that is a PS4 :) :( :) :( big is better :)

measuring the ps3 to a home made pc is like
measuring a 5 year old f1 ferrari to a home made tractor.
there is absolutley no reason.

Ya also have to renember that its a modifed version of whats in there, so the console will probably be 10 times better than that

You also have to renember that the PS4 will be fully optimised to use that hardware, aswell as having modifacations to the hardware itself. These tests wont even be close to what the PS4 will actually give us.
