With rumours floating around the internet about Sony's next generation console, fans are starting to wonder what exactly the console will be capable of.
Well, we know that it will be able to play PlayStation 3 games...that's a start. According to reports (confirmed by Wall Street Journal), Sony's PlayStation 4 console will use cloud streaming services supplied by Gaikai to make their up and coming console backward compatible.
As simple as it sounds with improved hardware, the emulation of PS3 games on the PS4 could prove extremely difficult and by following the cloud method, Sony will be able to overcome this.
Sony may have considered this a possibility over 7 months ago, when they purchased Gaikai for approximately $380 million back in July 2012. This will be great news for many PlayStation fans that are still bitter about their PS2 games collecting dust, because unless you had an original 60GB model of the PS3, PS2 games were pretty much a no go zone for the console.
Let me know your thoughts.

I mean, I'm on the best ISP in Quebec, but PS3 wifi is already crappy enough...

Streaming a game in HD sounds very expensive, if not impossible for most.
