Yet ANOTHER Final Fantasy XIII-2 Vid

This new FF XIII-2 video shows us how the monster recruiting feature works.

If you're following all the videos that Square Enix is putting out before the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2, you are going to know all the ins and outs of the game by the time you get it home. They're showing us every square inch of gameplay and a good portion of the visuals, so now all that's left is to play the thing.

According to the video, you'll be able to actively recruit monsters to fight for your team, customize their abilities and attacks, and use them in devastating combos. Some of the critters look laughable as always (giant chickens and plants), but as always there are some that are just awesome (check out the Reaver, Svarog, and Uridimmu). 

What do you think? Is this a cool addition to the FF franchise or is it just pandering to the gamers that grew up playing Pokemon or Digimon? Maybe a little of both? Whichever way you look at it, it should be fun for anyone that's a Final Fantasy fan.
