The media event that Sony has planned for February 20th, is the event in which the PlayStation 4 and a newly redesigned PS Vita is speculated to be unveiled. Just days shy, an image has popped up of an early PS4 devkit and a controller to boot. The controller which retains the DualShock form factor, has refined analog sticks, ditches the START/SELECT buttons and features a display, which could be used to display some sort of output. Just like the PS3's prototype, the early designs usually go back to the drawing board.
As for the devkit, if it is the version released last month, it will be sporting four dual-core AMD64 "Bulldozer" processors with a R10xx GPU, four USB 3.0 ports, two Ethernet ports, a Blu-ray drive, a 160GB HDD, HDMI and finally optical audio outputs. The dual Ethernet hookups are reminiscent of the PS3's prototype setup with 3 connections. Only time will tell whether this image leak is indicative of what's to come, sooner than later.
