Sonic Spins Back Into Action

Submitted by UnashamedVandal; April 10, 2012

SEGA have been struggling recently but that hasnt stopped them from getting back in touch with good old Sonic though. Remember Sonic? Remember when he made his dramatic entry onto the PlayStation store, a good old blast from the past, Sonic 4 Episode 1. It felt like good old classic Sonic and played pretty similar, however I was starting to think that the series would end with episode one...apparently not. SEGA have finally taken a step forward and what looked to be a lost cause now has a date of release. Sonic 4 Episode 2 will hit the PlayStation store on the 15th of May this year and will be accompanied by an extra add-on bonus for those that also own episode 1. The add-on is entitled Episode Metal Lock-on and will allow the player to journey through four different levels as the one and only Metal Sonic who featured in Sonic 2 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. The download will set you back £9.99/$14.99, so for all you Sonic fans out their, I would recommend this as a smart purchase. The game looks to be light hearted and fun, not only this but it will kill some time between playing major titles. Let me know your thoughts.

Not news and Metal Sonic is from Sonic CD, not Sonic 2.

Wow you really don't know your Sonic do you... Metal Sonic originated from Sonic CD for the SEGA CD. :P Also episode 1 wasn't really that great. They tried but.... walking on walls... that is all.

You... really don't know your history do you. :P 1) Metal Sonic came from SONIC CD for the Sega CD. And 2) Episode 1 was pretty bad in places even by my standards, (I enjoyed Sonic 06...)

Metal Sonic was one of the last bosses in Sonic 2 for Sega Mega Drive which was released before Sonic CD, he might not look the same but his still called Metal Sonic.

Actually the Boss in Sonic 2 is generally refered to as Robo-Sonic. Yes he is a metal version of Sonic, but he is not the character Metal Sonic.

Yeah I read that link it says his first apearence was in "SONIC CD". The Boss look alike is called SILVER SONIC in Sonic 2. but you never know it could be a translation error....
