Being the awesome tweeter and gaming writer that I am both inside and out of dashhacks, I decided to have a chat with Evan Wells, the co-president of Naughty Dog. In all honesty, it wasnt really a chat; more like he answered my question regarding who was actually remastering the Jak & Daxter trilogy and to my amazement; he said Mass Media.
Mass Media is a legendary company which started making games like Tetris for the CD-I in the 80s. In the 90s however, the company brought out some pretty cool titles including: StarCraft 64 and in the naughties, games like Ms. Pac-man and Namco museum emerged soon after which made Mass Media one of the biggest arcade game developers of all time.
These games are only a small selection of the games these guys have developed. Including the upcoming Jak & Daxter, Mass Media has developed 36 titles.
I do not understand why these guys are remastering Jak & Daxter – It seems out of character for the company. Either way, Im sure theyll do a smashing job and who knows; maybe theyll take on the series and make a sequel, like Sanzaru did for the Sly Cooper franchise.
Well keep you posted!

I hope they will also do a remake of the Ratchet & Clank series in HD. Not being able to play those games anymore hurts.
