Japanese Games...More Western?

We all know a famous Japanese game, take Final Fantasy for example. However recently, Japanese game developers have decided their games should go in a different direction...
Japanese game developers have recently come to the conclusion that they need to make their titles more ‘Hollywood and increase game budgets in order to appeal more to their western audience. Many fans of Final Fantasy will have definitely started to notice this westernisation in the XIII series, big budget and awful western soundtrack that to be honest, took some originality from the series.
In my opinion Id suggest that Japanese games that are already successful do not need to be westernised anymore, like I said...Final Fantasy is westernised too much already. However, the idea of bigger budget titles coming from Japan is definitely something I can agree with and I find it difficult to become involved with many JRPGs at the moment. Hopefully we see something soon...what do you guys think?

All of the blatant FF hating on this site is getting pretty pathetic. What, exactly, about the FF13 soundtrack is "Western" (aside from the Leona Lewis thing), and what level of delirium did you have to attain to come to such a notion?

I actually love Final Fantasy, however the XIII series was heavily criticised even by Final Fantasy fans. As far as the soundtrack is concerned, you answered your own question. What about it is Western? Leona Lewis sung it...I'd hadly call that Japanese. I'm simply stating how it is.

Oh no. A western song in a game that's been released in a western country. Just suck it the fuck up. You want the Japanese game? Move to Japan or import.

No just no. I f japan adopts a more western style to their games people can say goodbye to good fights, with all the western infatuatuion with guns and explosions and stuff high speed hand to hand combat and true abilities like shooting fire balls which is much more appealing to me then shooting bullets because at least a fire ball is a natural ability unlike a bullet that is shot from a tool will be replaced by lazy long range fighters with no other combat capabilities besides shooting... the hell i don't want to play a coward in a japanese game i have COD and every other western shooter in the market to do that i want a capable fighter.
