Arguments have been heated between Nintendo and Sony at the moment, and this article is no exception...
There has been a lot of talk from Nintendo boss Iwata, with comments about the Wii Us graphical capabilities; the Nintendo big dog seems to be taking it out on Sony. Iwata recently doubted the potential of the next generation of consoles without taking into account his own creation and perhaps made a fool of himself. Well now, the abuse towards Sony and now Microsoft continues...
Iwata believes that the graphical difference between Nintendos Wii U and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 will be much smaller than the gap between the PS3 and PS4. During an interview, the Nintendo boss suggested that even though the Wii U produces less power than both its rivals, the console itself wont be drastically different graphics wise compared to the PlayStation 4 and that the next generation of consoles coming from Sony and Microsoft wont live up to their high expectations.

Once again the Nintendo boss trying to draw attention away from the fact that his new Wii U's hardware and graphics cant copete with that of Sony and Microsoft lol. The words "Nintendo" and "Best Graphics" will never go together hahaha.
I will stick to my PS4 and Xbox3 thank you very much!

these graphical diferences make multisystem games not so good graphically.

You mean like whenwe have multiplatform games today and they are made for xbox and adapted to ps3, and so they look better on xbox?
i am no specialist, but if they try to make a game for Wii U, PS4 and Xbox "720" , won't they need to lvl it by the weakest hardware(Wii U) like they do now with xbox?

exactly, they have to level it to the worst system, that's why it's hard to get developers to port exclusive games, imagine Uncharted 2/3 on the 360, it would be laughable

he keeps talking about how the graphics jump from this gen to the next won't be as big for m$/sony as it was the last time around. But look at the difference between gcube and wii, there was hardly any difference at all, some ppl might argue that there was no difference in quality, just the new control design.

EXACTLY! There was no difference AT ALL with the graphics between Game Cube and Wii. It was just a shrunk down version of the GC that they decided to use different controllers for and just call it a next gen system. That is why it was so easy for them to slap on GC controller ports and mem card slots. I actually liked the GC very much but hate the Wii because the controllers are just too gimmicky and a lot of the games suffer for it. Nintendo used to be so great at having awesome technology to push out both awesome graphics AND controls. The NES and SNES were awesome while the N64 was pretty cool but should have been a disc based system for more storage so the games could have more polygons (I am assuming that is why they had such a low polygon count but I could be wrong). The Game Cube was pretty sweet too finally going to disc and giving everyone awesome graphics and nice controls. Then they went cheap again with the Wii and focused too much on the controllers and not enough on the look of the games. The Wii is just an unbalanced console that just feels more awkward than fun. Sony however, has always pushed the technology as far as they could to give the gamer a complete gaming experience. The PS1 Showed us what a REAL gaming console should do and also gave us the ability to use it as a CD player if we chose and with the right add-on it could also play Video CD's so you could watch movies. The PS2 kept that trend going and and gave us DVD playback AND the ability to play PS1 games to add to the lineup of things the Playstation could do on top of giving us awesome looking games. And then the PS3 comes along and blows that all out of the water by giving us a brand new technology, those wonderful little things called bluray discs. Games in HD? Movies in HD? AND I can still play my PS1 and PS2 games on it? FUCK YEAH BUDDY!!! Love em' or hate em', Sony kicks ass when it comes to the technology of gaming consoles. Nintendo is simply making excuses because of all the shit they have taken over the last several years for their lackluster approach to console design. They only seem to care about making the cheapest console possible with one little gimmick to it to make as much money as possible without real concern for the quality of the games for those systems. I am extremely excited to see what the PS4 really has to offer. I want a gaming console, not a kid's toy.
These are just my personal opinions and I could very well be wrong.

This is why the best games visually for a console are almost always exclusives. Look at Uncharted for PS3, visually one of the best on the entire platform - Its exclusive. Now lets look at Gears of War for the 360, graphically one of the best - Its exclusive!
One game that is multi-platform that i find hard to choose which version is better is Grand Theft Auto 4. On the 360 the graphics have a kinda oil painting kinda look...which i dont mind. Then there is the PS3 version which has its own unique look to the textures (not oil painting like but still good)...side by side its hard to say which is better, coz some may like the oily look, while others might like the ps3 textures.
Oh and a little off topic, but i think ppl shouldnt be calling the next Xbox the Xbox720...naming wise that sounds terrible! There is no way its gunna be called that. TBH i think they are going to go with Xbox 3. The reason why MS went with 360 over calling it Xbox 2 was coz Sony's new console was called the PS3. Now a parent buying a system would see their optiona as either "The PS3 or the Xbox 2"...some might think that coz 3 is higher than 2 that the Sony was superior, we all know thats not how it works but that is the naming reason i had heard! These days though i think it would be best to go with Xbox 3...or Xbox 'Insert some latin word or something or other' (kinda like the PS 'Vita' instead of PSP 2).
Edit: And before anyone calls me on this, yes i know the 360 came out before the PS3, but MS knew that the next PS console was going to be called PS3.
