GT5 Updates And DLC

Submitted by HolmesInFive; January 12, 2012

At the end up last year, GT5 received a nice new functionality update (version 2.02) and a healthy hunk of horsepower in the form of DLC to improve your Gran Turismo experience.  Now in the new year, GT will receive another pack of DLC, released on the 18th of January.

The DLC will include you guessed it, cars.  The list of cars is comprised of: Lamborghini Aventador, Jaguar XJR9, Aston Martin V12 Vantage (2011), VW 1200 (1966), Mini Countryman S (2011) and Nissan Leaf.

The second part of this DLC (sold seperately) equips you with the "Speed Test Track".  A self explanatory name to say the least, the track is a sizeable oval, and comes with a performance measuring mode to you guessed it, measure your cars performance.

Partnered with the DLC will be yet another functionality update (2.03).  While these updates won't be nearly as drastic as the update a while back that was so highly sought after, everyone likes improved functionality.

GT5 is the last one I'm buying in the series. GT1 and 2 were great, and then things went downhill fast. GT5 is by far the worst commercial racing game I've ever played. I also feel cheated that they sold me an unfinished game, and now they release the finished one but ask a price for it. I certainly will pay the price $ony ... har har har.

I will always welcome these updates, the more updates the better the Gran Turismo experience gets! I will never get to drive those cars in real life and although I have to say I am really happy about my auto donations car, it doesn't hurt to dream about owning an Lamborghini.
