Gilgamesh...Now That's More Like It!

I recently spoke out about my outrage at the Final Fantasy XIII-2 Omega DLC, so to follow on from this I took some advice from one of our commenters... Here at Dashhacks we respect are loyal visitors and commenters, so when I received a comment on my last Final Fantasy XIII-2 article suggesting that I should attempt the Gilgamesh DLC, I thought Id give it a go. - 30 minutes later... - Yeah...Fuck that! Im battling the guy for a bit and I am thinking this is alright, until he decides to go all sword style on your arse. After half an hour Ive just noticed a red notch in his health bar. Dont get me wrong, he isnt particularly strong attack wise but his health and healing and beyond mind blowing. Im pretty sure someone at Square Enix was on crack when they designed the battle for Gilgamesh. I dont have a spare 2-3 hours to kill him and dont have an effective strategy to beat him at the moment so I cant upload a video, plus I dont have 4 days spare to upload the length of the video. I must admit, Im proud of Square Enix for making him available, completely worth the money and totally old school. Thank you for the suggestion random commenter, if I make any progress against him I will let you all know. Well, at least they tried to make him an actual threat in this game.

In the previous games, he's often been a bit of a joke character (still pretty powerful though), like in FFXII where he acts like a badass - pulling out swords that characters in previous games used (faked ones!) - for the first part of the battle, runs away, and then when you fight him again and get him down to low health he pulls out a fake Excalibur that does 1 damage per strike :P

Yeah, he is still a bit of a clown in this DLC. He actually says something like "you finally bought this part of the game?! I was thinking you weren't going to and I'd be stuck forever"...something along those lines anyway. Fucking hard battle though lol.

wow sounds like some GREAT DLC......if you want to waste a few hours playing it. seriously who the heck wants to spend all day fighting a boss? don't get me wrong, I love hard boss battles, but a boss that takes that long to beat is too much.

I wish he was Type-0's gilgamesh, that one seemed less of a joke and was very intimidating.
