More news incoming on the Final Fantasy XIII-2 front reveals tidbits about the DLC schedule and involvement of Star Ocean devs.
Love it or hate it, the Final Fantasy franchise always gets a lot of attention when there's a new game in the works. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the latest in the franchise, and on RPG Site it has been revealed that Square Enix unveiled the DLC schedule for FF XIII-2 at Jump Festa 2012. A DLC package called "Omega" will be the first one out. Apparently Omega is a big beastie you can defeat and recruit for your party using the monster recruitment feature. After that, you'll get some costume DLC, including a pink bikini for Serah and Noel gets an Ezio Auditore outfit from Assassin's Creed. Lightning's Colosseum outfit may make an appearance as well, but that's not yet confimed.
In other news, Siliconera has revealed that tri-Ace, the developers of Star Ocean, had a hand in developing FF XIII-2 with Square. Yuichiro Kitao, programmer for tri-Ace, said as much on his Twitter account, claiming that his company helped out with art, game design, and programming.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 has already hit Japan and will be out early next year in the West.
