FIFA 12 Steals UK Number 1 Spot

Although the Christmas holidays do invite a substantial amount of video game sales, the result of the UK number one at the end of 2011 wasnt such an obvious one. Is it Modern Warfare 3? What about Battlefield 3? Maybe Assassins Creed: Revelations? If you thought any of those than you would be wrong, sorry ladies and gentlemen. The game that took the 2011 crown at the end of the year was in fact FIFA 12, which over Christmas sold phenomenal amounts; this caused the football simulator to shoot all the way to number 1. The reason this comes as such a surprise is because not only has FIFA 12 already had its time at the top but the game was also released on September 30th, well before any of the other major contenders. This means one of two things, either a lot of FIFA fans waited to get the game before Christmas and didnt buy it early on, or EA managed to create a great selling campaign for the title over Christmas to put its competitors below them on the UK rankings. Let me know your thoughts.
