OK, well maybe it's not that loud. It just seems that way to me because I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning.
But seriously folks, the new trailer for Binary Domain's multiplayer mode looks pretty damn cool. I wasn't evern aware that it was going to have multiplayer, but thankfully it doesn't look completely tacked on like so many other multiplayer modes.
The main thrust of the single player game is the idea of robots that look like people infiltrating society, and judging by the robots in the trailer they'll feature in the MP modes as well. Though both teams in MP will be human (you'll be either a member of the Resistance or the Government), it looks like there will be some robots running around to contend with as well.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has a similar mode in which you have to fight each other, plus zombies and other mutated monsters. I like.
Add to that the fact that Binary Domain is not another FPS and this might be interesting. It's probably not going to be the next big thing, but popularity doesn't necessarily equal quality.
Binary Domain is being developed by Yakuza Studio and published by Sega. It will be out February 28th.
