Amazon Video, Like Your Ramen

Instant! Well not really, I take around 5-6 minutes for mines. You can see what Amazon is cooking when they're not offering discounts to everyone like there's no tomorrow.

Today, Amazon's Prime Instant Video service was unveiled on the PS3 marking it as the first console to offer the video streaming service. Amazon Prime Instant Video allows you to search through movies and TV shows where you can rent and purchase them. The experience is totally ad free which already stretches as an advantage to using other streaming services such as Hulu.

Amazon is also finding a use for their "Prime" membership as well. If you have one, you'll be able to browse through the "Prime Instant Videos" section and be able to stream content at no additional cost. If you don't, you can sign up for the trial within the app or purchase the yearly $79 membership. It rocks being in college. (If you are, at least in the US, you'll get a free trial of Prime)

Prime Instant Video is available under the TV/Video category in the XMB.

The Free Amazon Prime trial for a year for students, includes everthing but the video service. I too am in college and know this first hand

Hello,

 

I am a noobie so any ideas on getting access to this feature while overseas?  I am working the proxy server angle but if there is a better way I would appreciate it.
