Showtime Gets Disk Support

Showtime the popular media player is getting a plugin to enable music, video and pictures from your disk based storage of choice.

If youre like me and you like to store your movies on a DivX disk then youre going to enjoy this add-on for andbey0nds media player homebrew Showtime. Thats right, all you have to do is install this and all of your data DVD/CD/BD will be accessible and useable with Showtime, something that I have personally been waiting for since the first release of the App. Thats not all youll get out of this though.  You will also be able to take screenshots, listen to music while looking at photos and watch your movies on your PSP and PS Vita with remote play or whatever else you remote play with. Showtime Disc Access (stDISC.pkg 100kb)

Requirements:

* CFW/MFW 3.41/3.55 with peek/poke/lv1 access (KMEAW/REBUG/ROGERO/HERMES)
* Showtime media player 3.99+ or Showtime for multiMAN (installed in default location)
* Data DVD/CD/BD in the PS3 tray (video/music/photo content)

Purpose:

* Allows access to optical data discs (DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, BD-R/RE) which usually are not accessible in homebrew apps
* Minimizes the steps to access content stored on such optical discs (no need to launch multiMAN with DirectDiscAccess)
* Allows Showtime to play all your backup videos/music if you used optical media

Extras:

* You can take screenshots of movies while Showtime is playing
* You can play music from XMB [Music] column while Showtime is displaying photo slideshow
* You can use Remote Play to watch videos on your PSP / PS Vita or other compatible devices

Installation:

* Copy stDISC.pkg to the root of a USB drive/stick
* Install from [Game] column -> [* Install Package Files]
* Showtime (Disc access) entry will appear in the [Video] column in XMB
* Launch it with data disc in the tray
* In 5-10 seconds your Showtime Media Player will load with disc access

FINALLY!!! Now we just need 4.1+ MP4 profiles working, and the Dropbox plugin refuses to work at ALL.

Cell uses hardware decoding for profiles up to 4.1 (I've heard 4.2 too, but its not reccommended? Havent tried).

Beyond that, we need to decode 'in software'. It sounds to me the Cell should be powerful enough, so I actually suspect the problem has more to do with the video driver displaying the images (1080p) fast enough
