If you are looking for a useful tool to decrypt elf/self files then you might want to come and see whats new with naehrwerts scetools v0.2.7...
Guess what? If youre looking to decrypt your elf/self file then the new version of scetools will be able to help you do just that. Not much has changed in this version of naehrwert's scetools but this is a good tool despite its lack of a flashy GUI. Thats right, it's got DOS. For some of our younger readers out there, you may not know this but computers didnt always look like this. Once upon a time it was all command prompt text based and all sorts of frustrating, but scetools is easy to use so dont be too worried.
Version 0.2.7:
- Added local NP license handling.
- Added option to override klicensee.
- Added option to disable section skipping (in SELF generation).

did you mark it as executable? did you opened it with python? you dont need to copy it to /usr/bin, any folder should work, also know that scetools is for windows, I don't know how compatible it is with wine
