Meet Pointman The Akkadian Wars - An Upcoming Homebrew

If you're not totally familiar with what CondorStrike has done in the past, you may remember a little tool called Condor Updater that allowed you to access a special recovery menu from the comfort of your XMB. Now however, he has moved beyond those applications and into homebrew games with the recent release of his new alien themed action game.

Since this is a teaser we're talking about, I won't be able to tell you too much about the game, but I will try to do what I can. As I can see from the game's title screen players will have a choice between easy, medium, and hard modes once they begin their journey. After that is where the story of the title comes in. As seen in the opening sequences, the year is 2345 on the planet Casia-SA7 and the new Earth has been seized by a group of aliens known as the Akkadian.

As an ex-soldier who had previously been living as a drunk, it is your job to tackle these foes along with some help from your trusted mech friend. As you will soon learn, the battle with these foreign invaders certainly connects on a personal level, and it is this need to protect that drives you into service once again. With a zappy opening tune and a nuanced story, this homebrew sounds like it might be seriously fun. If you want more info, you can see the trailer in action here.
