Like Homebrew? ThatOtherDev Delivers Again

Last time we heard from ThatOtherDev he was kind enough to do our 20 Questions with a Dev interview and also talk about his homebrew game Catachthonic for the PS3.  Well its time for an update. Keep reading to find out whats new.

I can hardly wait to load this on my PS3 and get this working.  ThatOtherDev has yet to disappoint and now Catachthonic is back with its newest version 0.95 loaded with a fix for the bug that caused it to crash and other extras to improve playability.  This update also has revamped controls you too.  Recently added to this version is an on screen text to display what ability you have selected.  You can destroy blocks while they are still falling and reset everything without exiting the game.

 

PS3 controls:
Left analog stick = Move
Right analog stick = Aim
L1 = Switch between first and third person view
R1 = Perform an action
Directional pad = Change what action you will perform
Select = reset the world

I'm just kidding my friend... I like homebrew games...

I don't even have pirated games on my ps3. And I am currently looking to develop a rpg homebrew game for it myself! =)
