GTA IV Gets a Little Super

EvilB’s latest GTA IV MOD is rather reminiscent of the movie Chronicle despite the fact that he has titled it a “Superman Mod”. The reason I disagree with the superman label is rather simple really.  First Superman never flew “he leaps tall buildings in a single bound” and second no cape. Thanks to this terrific mod you can now fly your way around Liberty City.  Just be sure not to crash into anything because unlike Superman you are not a child of krypton. Outside of these overly geeky errors I have to say it’s a beautiful idea with perfect follow through and I offer a tip of my hat to EvilB for his work.

Controls:

XBOX360

  • Flying On/Off = RB + DPAD DOWN
  • Fast = RT
  • Brake = LT
  • Land = X
  • Speech = LB
  • Plane Mode On/Off = RB + DPAD UP
  • Increase Idle Speed = RT + Y
  • Decrease Idle Speed = LT + Y

 

PS3

  • Flying On/Off = R1 + DPAD DOWN
  • Fast = R2
  • Brake = L2
  • Land = Square
  • Speech = L1
  • Plane Mode On/Off = R1 + DPAD UP
  • R2 + Triangle = Increase Idle Speed
  • L2 + Triangle = Decrease Idle Speed

Well your both right about Superman. Originally he could only just jump great distances (original comics in 1940), which later evolved to flying (one year later in 41). Kudos for this incredibly geeky argument!

in the early comics superman had not yet learned how to fly, this is what smallville was loosely based on, Clark Kent before becoming superman.
