Ubisoft, Show Us What You've Got!

Before you read this, check out the latest Assassin's Creed III screenshots here. Okay, now its time to get slightly opinionated and I know this always causes some controversy but hey...here goes.

Assassins Creed II was fucking brilliant, absolutely loved it, Brotherhood...kind of like its predecessor which made it boring at times, but still a good time. Finally there is Revelations, it got to the point where I got bored of this old Italian man, Ubisoft...I want something new please, not this again.

Ezio was great and I did love him but now, not so much. This is why the announcement of the big III couldnt have hit the gaming scene at a better time, the game looks like a huge addition and could really turn around the way Ive been thinking about Assassins Creed recently. What do I expect from the game though? Well for a start the increased use of guns may have been frowned upon by fans but in my opinion it is a great idea, it adds more variety to your takes downs and removes that linear edge to your assassinating options. Secondly we have heard the title is set during the American Revolution, so naturally as someone from England youd expect me not to enjoy this so much but how wrong could these expectations be.

The idea of taking on some new enemies that wont be rambling on in Italian is actually a huge plus in my eyes, I also look forward to the several actors with terrible English accents that will be voicing many of the characters...always nice to have a bit of banter in a game. I dont know if this is me being forever hopeful or that this game can really achieve true heights, but I might be suffering from hype. Hype is a common illness that strikes unaware gamers that want a game to live up to its huge expectations, and are often blinded by this. However Im fully aware that Ubisoft basically brought the same game out three times in a row, sorry guys but its true, so now Im hoping this is the start of a new beginning...or the beginning of a great end.
