TrueAncestor SELF Resigner v1.8 Available

The 4.XX custom firmware universe really can be an awesome thing. What can be better than having all of the very latest firmware features while maintaining access to your favorite homebrew right? That's all well and good, but even with all of these recent strides, sometimes gamers still have a little bit of trouble getting their PSN titles to work for them. That's why the JjKkYu released the TrueAncestor EBOOT resigning script for those that wanted  to make an early jump to the very latest that Sony had to offer. This version released today may have a new name, but it has expanded on some of the features you already know and love.

 

In version 1.8 there is now support for batch resigning SELF and sprx files. That means if you've got a whole bunch of file modding that needs to be done, this should be the tool to do it. In addition there are some extra options for CEX CFW as well that will likely increase the compatibility of your games. You may need to mess around a bit to see which titles work, but these changes should at least help you out. Lastly, thanks to Ftsm the ELF patching method has been updated to something a bit more current as well.

 

More games to play with using a more reliable piece of software? It doesn't get cooler than that.

Is there a reason someone hasn't made one of these that runs on Ps3 and or added it to multiman that scans your game directory asking if you want to resign anything with the wrong keys?

It would be a great idea so I'm not quite sure why. My guess is just the ease of making a script on a PC. The devs know a lot of hackers spend lots of time on their computers. Who knows though, maybe deank will have something ow the line.

I just wondered if there was some huge technical reason. Even something that just simplified it, like copying the directory structure, and the files to be signed off to thumb drive that you could stick in the pc, resign, then copy back to ps3 in mass. I guess ftping them or copying them by hand isn't that hard, but it certainly is a pain.
