Sony Finds Evidence: geohot does have a PSN account?

As geohot fights his uphill battle against the big dogs at Sony -- Sony throws another obstacle in his path, claiming to have [circumstantial] evidence supporting the fact that he, geohot, or should I say blickmanic, does/did have a PSN account, which would then imply geohot not only lied, but agreed to the PSN user agreement terms, and is therefore subject to personal jurisdiction in California. Wait -- they're still on the jurisdictional tip? Man oh man... As Groklaw says, "Personally, I think Sony should just sue the guy in New Jersey." No shit. Anyway, for the evidence, check it: (quoted from a legal docs obtained by Groklaw)

Hotz identified four PS3 Systems in his possession. Bricker Decl., ¶4, Exh. C. He explained that he had purchased one of these consoles new in February 2010 and provided the serial number for that console. Id. SCEA used that serial number to determine that on February 25, 2010, Hotz purchased the PS3 System at a Gamestop store just miles from his home. Law Decl., ¶6; Bricker Decl., ¶6, Exh. E. SCEAs records show that the same PS3 System was used on March 10, 2010 to create a PSN account under the user name blickmanic. Law Decl., ¶6, Exh. A. The IP address associated with the registration is located in Glen Rock, New Jersey, where Hotz lives. Law Decl. ¶6. Hotzs ownership of the blickmanic account is further supported by the fact that an Internet search of the user name blickmanic reveals a posting discussing the jailbreaking of cellular phones – Hotzs original claim to fame. Bricker Decl., ¶7, Exh. F (Just curious what people would pay for exclusive rights to this solution. [Motorola] Tracfone W175g unlocked and debranded. PM me.) As discussed above, to create his PSN account, Hotz was required to first agree to the terms of the PSN User Agreement and thus he is clearly subject to personal jurisdiction in California.

all he has to do is say that it is not his account and that other people i.e. friends, parents, siblings, girlfriends had access to that system and that it must be one of their accounts unless of course geohot was dumb enough to put his real information when registering his account. but i'm hoping he was smarter then that, hell my account doesn't even contain my real info except for the credit card info because I don't like paying sales tax for computer data. and i can claim i just let a friend use my credit card if need be no way anyone can prove otherwise.

Sony find his PSN account and agree to the user agreement but lets face it, you get the console and you want to play, not to read a 30 mins long agreement. Also lets not forget the facepalm Sony make to themself by removing the OtherOS.

I remember this quote from Sony back when the PS3 came out. Sony was selling the PS3 for $600 or so but claims it had cost $800 per console.

There's reports form August of 2009 saying that sony was still losing money on the PS3 Slim. It may be alright to assume that sony is no longer losing money on PS3 Slims but you know what happens when you assume...

I honestly think Sony should just cut there losses and move along. They broke the law too. #1 removing the "other OS" feature with out telling people about it. #2 removing the "Emotion Engine" chip for better sells is Bullshit. Why should someone like George Hotz get sued for "unlocking" the PS3 when Sony removed to two features that made me buy a PS3 in the first place?

It may very well be that Sony has closed the door on all of us and maybe the reason there has been a lack of a working CFW release for 3.60 is perhaps it's been made more unlikely by the recent update to OFW,the recent security changes made at PSN and now the possible new company shift of PSN itself.
That in combination with the civil suit against Geohot...maybe our chances of having a Dev release something before then is highly unlikely...and maybe impossible.
