Sure, the exploit works, we know that. We even know how the exploit is triggered and the payload delivered. But do you really know how and why it works? Mathieulh tweets a cool breakdown detailing what's understood up to this point. Consider it a "behind-the-scenes" look at the actual payload -- the code that makes it all possible. What does that mean for you, right now? Not much. But it's a cool read if the low-level stuff interests you.

i agree with u there... but dont u think it wud be freakin sweet to own a ps3 offline all customized to ur liking like the psp but not having to worry about been banned and watched? i love psn but at same time i hate sony for not letting us run things on OUR console that weve had to earn, sony dont mind homebrew its wen developers make backup utillitys which once again is legal but its us ppl that abuse the rights of it...

Till now you pll are happy you all can play games but what now go to future how you will able to play tlbp2 gt5 n4s and cod black op ? Thought I;d post this info here for people who want to buy a new PS3.

I got the 320GB PS3 with the Move Starter Pack delivered today, I can confirm firmware version is 3.40

So get them before Sony ship out new batches with 3.42+ on them!

honestly i think they'll do it the same way they do it on the psp. Extract the game from the disk. Open the disk immage. Remove the FW check file from the game, and then recompile the game and install to HDD.

Now before you all start flamining me; i know it will probably be a lot tougher than just that, but you get the concept.

I only actually paid £18.95 for my board which then got upgraded (for free) to the avr usb dev kit because shipment of the teensy++ boards was delayed due to stock shortages. So whoever is paying $200 for a usb board is being mugged. Who cares if we can't play games on psn. This is just fun.

I miss the days where you actually had to understand all of what that post is about to hack your console. Now, hackers are releasing "Noob Proof" hacks for people who don't know what the hell a USB port is. It's ridiculous. If you want to hack your system...at least learn how it works and/or read the documentation. I know there's not much documentation here, but you get the gist. Same with PSP. I'm tired of people going "Iz can playz ps2 backupz wit dis??" or "PSP port now!!" or "skip all dis, i wantz cheatz so iz can pwn peepl on teh psn." Seriously, grow up and read for once.
