REBUG Update Package 0.4 Released, Spoof Firmware 4.00

Keeping up with Sony is Team REBUG; the team has released another updater package for those flashed with REBUG CFW 3.55.2 or 3.41.3. The update adds spoofing support for the recently released 4.00 system software. Again the only real, practical use for spoofing your firmware is to prevent accidental firmware updates, which would effectively remove your means to jail breaking your console, as described here ... unless you know another reason to spoof, in which case leave a comment below, enlightening me and everyone else. 4.00 Version Spoofer 2.1 keeps compatibility with reActPSN 2.0. in my limited experience, anything requiring you to take a survey to download, usually has no purpose but the survey. If this was actually out there, it would be showing up other places too. I'd avoid it, unless someone can show me I'm wrong. you have to admit though, they picked some pretty good bait...how many people do you think have taken the surveys?

Hi there,

I've just installed the 4.00 version spoofer over the 3.72 version spoofer. I then pressed L1+circle to proceed to the uninstall as described on the menu itself... and my PS3 rebooted but it gives me no picture whatsoever... I've tried turning it off and on again several times, and even removing the plug... nothing works. Any help appreciated!

spoofing means making the ps3 think its using a higher firmware...u had alredy lied to ur ps3 dat its on 3.73 instd of 3.55....u cant jst do anoda lie(4.00) ON TOP of the old lie..u were suposed to erase the previouce lie by installing a fresh 3.55 ofw...den install 3.55 kmeaw..and den u can lie to d ps3 afresh with 4.00....GET IT?......so to fix ur game...go into recovery menu...and try installing an ofw 3.55

ok here we go can smoebody tell me what happened to my ps3 I went to install the 4.00 rebug 4 3.55 and it wouldn't work so i tryed uninstalling my 3.72 rebug and it stayed on a black screen for 5-10 mins so i thought the system had froze so i switched it off (it is a phat ps3) and then i did a jb sequnce where u hold the eject button and switch it back on then my nephew got scared of the noise cause he thought it would blow up so i switched it off and turned it back on normally and then it just showed my blue tv screen WTF!!!! so i went in to recovery mode and tryed to fix it by restoring hdd but every time i did it went too the same blue screen so i sat there 4 about 25-35 mins still a blue screen can somebody tell me how to fix this please
