PSGroove Hermes v4b for Minimus v2.0 AVR USB

Submitted by greg; October 21, 2010

Real quick for those who need it: PSGroove Hermes v4b compiled for Minimus v2.0 AVR USB -- that's the one powered by the ATMEGA32U2 clocked at 16MHz. You can thank optimusxcrime again. Said hex has been added to the package here. Update: optimusxcrime has shared a recompiled version with the LEDs working. Download the package again if you want/need that.

I've been using the normal minimus hex on my v2 seems to work fine will this make any difference is it just the LED's as i get all 3 when loading payload and red and green when finished.

Thanks, is there any chance I could have instructions on how to compile the Hex's for this board myself?

it's just like compiling for any other board, except i had to edit this file C:\WinAVR\avr\i nclude\avr\powe r.h

after editing the power.h file i was able to compile for atmega32u2.

just search youtube for how to compile psgroove, that should be pretty helpful..!!

it's the same payload marty, if the v1 minimus is working for you just fine then this one really isn't going to do anything different. it's just compiled for the atmega32u2 microcontroller rather than the at90usb162. if what you say is true then the v1 hex's are compatible on the v2 minimus, only difference is the v2 board has double the capacity 16kb<32kb

Just tested this and it works fine, besides the fact the LED's aren't working anymore.

Im sure i downloaded Hermes V2 compiled by you last time and the LED's worked then.

*Shrugs* it works, thats the main thing.

Hi to all. I notice that in the package there is a folder with the HEX files and another folder called source.

What is exactly do I do with the source folder? Or is it made to edit the HEX or something?

Thanks

teckid, i've got the first one also. i don't see any point in upgrading yet. maybe if and when the hex's exceed the size of the v1 minimus. but, as of now all of the hex's work on a16kb flash. so save your ca$h brother.

50 bucks is a lot of cheddar these days, you can get a 500 gb seagate hdd off amazon for 49.99 and slap that in your ps3....seems like a wiser buy if you already have a jb device ;D

besides, the minimus has the ability to have more flash memory added via a micro sd card add-on. but you have to install it on the board. knowing how crafty team Xecuter is, i'm sure they will make an add-on for the boards in the future if needed that just snaps on or some shit. lol

Erm... not to be a pain but, the LED's still aren't working lol.

I just redownloaded the archive, and i assume it has the updated .hex in it for the 32u2's (the one i keep on my hard drive and the one i got from the archive are the same name/size).

On v2 or whatever it was, basically i'd get a red LED untill the jailbreak was sucessful then it'd change to blue, if the jailbreak failed, both would come on.

Not getting anything at all at the moment. Not that it's a huge issue, it's just handy to have the LED's. :)

Thanks Optimusxcrime, just to confirm then, with your upload for this board ATMEGA32U2 16MHz, when in JB Mode, should we be seeing two L.E.D's that stay on
1. Green - Power
2. Red - Indicating JB Mode

Just need confirming thanks again for your help :-)

It's working fine. Just one problem God of War 3 isn't working. I have this hex and OM2.1e ...and it kicks me to XMB ...even with a disc inside.

What seems to be the problem ?
