PSFreedom PL3 and Hermes v4 for Palm Pre

Sure, this is dated; however, sifting through comments I see a lot of people still asking for it, so if you're one of them, here you go: PSFreedom with PL3 and Hermes v4 for the Palm Pre. Now the source thread mentions support for Backup Manager has been removed -- that isn't the case. Rob, who emailed this in, has confirmed Gaia Manager is working just fine. To install PSFreedom for the Palm Pre:

Download the Palm Pre package.
Pick the Hermes (psfreedom-hermesv4.ko) or PL3 (psfreedom-PL3.ko) module.
Copy the module(s) to your device and "insmod" it via terminal or by ssh'ing in.

Type, for example (only one or the other):

```
insmod /media/internal/psfreedom-PL3.ko
```

insmod /media/internal/psfreedom-hermesv4.ko

Now connect the Palm Pre to your PS3 and hack it.

you might had an update with hermes V4 and PL3 to whatever devise you're using to jailbreak your ps3 but not all of us have the same devises so this might be old to you but some of us were waiting for this update for a while. So no we're not going downhill...You just need to be a little patient like some of us!

I don't know where I'm going wrong here. I downloaded the package put pl3 on my pre and restarted phone. With the ps3 unplugged I typed insmod /media/internal/psfreedom-pl3.ko on terminal in my pre. Hooked phone in the first usb slot then plugged in ps3, power, then eject quickly after and still didn't work. Tried it with both hermesv4 & pl3 and nothing shows up on ps3 still. Restarted phone after each try and i have tried it about five times on each one. WTF am I doing wrong. PS3 3.41fw

Buddy you need to unplug your ps3 from the out let if you have the slim or switch it OFF from the back if you have the fat. Then plug in you pre with HV4 or PL3 payload. plug or switch it back on, then power on and eject and you're good to go
