your backup manager needs to support big files for this to work
multiman should work (if supported on your firmware)
i played star ocean which has a 22.2 GB file on wannikoko (the risky one)
but my DVD play back was a problem so i updated to Kmeaw when it came out

you either mean custom firmware (that's the jail break)
or homebrew (the home-made games and apps)

Edit : nvm you need to place the option to merge the files in the same directory ( why does he even bother to create the 2nd options just fot copying )
Edit2 : it says not enough disk space and the file stopped at 4.1 gb even when i have plenty of free space left, am i missing something ?

For all the Mac users out there, use the program mentioned above MacHacha to join files as well. file > alphajoin. It will ask you to choose the first file to join, so click the 'whateverfilenam e'.66600. then it will ask you what you want the created file name to be, leave it at what the program chooses.
Cheers
