PS3 Media Server Gets A Nice Update

The PS3 Media Center developers have been busy working on their latest version of PS3 Media Server and Im sure everyone will appreciate their hard work.

This edition of PSM brings us to version 1.54.0 and has loads of fixes and improvements to the last version, almost too many to even mention. This time around we have support for even more devices like LGs Smart TV Upgrader and Dolby TrueHD support for up to 7.1 channels. Bug fixes included an issue when resetting cache and an overscan compensation bug.  But this is just a taste and there is lots more in here that I suggest you check out the change log and the downloads below so you can see for yourself.

+ Updated MPlayer for OSX to SB32

+ Language updates: CZE translation update (thanks, valib)

 

Upgrade Notes:

For 1.23.0 and above:

    * Just uninstall the older version and install newer one

 

For versions prior to 1.23.0:

    * To retain your old settings you may have to copy your old config file/s to a new directory.

      To find out where the new directory is on your computer, see here.

    * If you use the "media library / cache" option you should reset it.
