Psst... Look to your right -- in the most recently added PS3 downloads you'll find PSGroove ports and PSFreedom modules for different boards and devices. All these now include PSN access and firmware 3.50 spoofing, which allows you to run some games that ask for 3.42 or later. Not sure about games that are compiled against the latest Sony 3.50 SDK though. Some of these payloads are Hermes, PL3 or a combination of both. Props to everyone who made PSN + 3.50 firmware spoofing possible: xoeo, evilsperm, CyberSkunk... The folks who've compiled all these various builds: fl0PPsy, ricardopvz, Blake_Zero, this site here... I've tested yesterday with PSFreedom + iTouch 1g + 3.41 Fw, works great, played all night KZ2 (original copy) no problems at all, didn't risk to play a backup...

I just tried this with my PS3 on firmware 3.41. I used the rockbox for the video 5g. It works online and it shows 3.50 as the firmware but black ops doesn't run. Its starts then it goes to a black screen and just stays there. What do you need to do in order to get this game to work?

It seems the original rockbox 5g video file i downloaded gave me quite a few problems. It would load up fine, however every 30 seconds or so it would have the "unknown usb device detected" message pop up untill i unplugged my ipod. It also froze on me about 3 times to where i needed to unplug the console. Once it froze just on the XMB. I did some searching online and found a "fixed" version of the ipod video 5g rockbox file on the ps3news website. Not sure if they have that particular file on this site but for anyone having this same problem that the solution I found. Played Black OPS online for about 3 hours last night FYI.

So I'm using iPod mini 2g PSgroove, hermes v4 I think... I copied over the new rockbox.ipod file and I get the unrecognized USB device. Deezy could you post or a link to the fix? I'm not sure if that is aloud or not. Send me a message if it isn't.

The PSGroove for AT90USB162 produced....unsavory results. The game installs corrupted and every time I ran my backups they had to install the saves again. Upon closing the games, the PS3 would take a reaaaaally long time to go back to the XMB. I reflashed with my other Hex and everything works just fine (yes, I made sure I used PL3).

Since there is no PSN + 3.50 spoof Hermes v4b payload for the ipod mini 2g, I was wondering what would happen to all my games in the LAUN12345 folder if I use the new PL3 payload in this post? Will I lose all my games, or can I just update no problems? want this more for the spoofing of 3.50 games. can anyone help on this?

your games cannot be deleted unless you delete the related backup manager they are stored in. If PL3 doesnt support the manager you are using, install a new manager like Gaia, and move all the games to its folder. After you are sure you have moved them all to the right place and they work, uninstall your previous manager. Hope i helped.

P.S Reinstalling a manager will not delete any games in its files, in case you mess up your old manager and just want to go back to what you had, as long as you HAVENT already moved your games.

I have an OG 80GB PS3. I have been using my droid with psfMod to hack it and even got it to go on psn last night with that new bin file released the other day. Now with the 3.50 spoof that really gets things moving but in reality the fact that you have to run the hack every time you start it up just to get onto PSN or play a newer game kinda sucks actually thats why im happy i had the extra cash to buy a new slim. Once this thing is cracked like the way the psp is with a custom firmware thats when it will really be time to cheer. So for now i run all my emulators for systems i already own on my OG PS3. Great work to all the coders that get this shit done!

I used to mod my ps3 with a droid but that got way too tedious, plus it was hard to find updated mods for the droid. That's why I went with usb drive. it's so cheap and fast i never have to use the droid to mod my ps3 ever again.

check out a teensy for your ps3. it took me 5 min. to set up and there are tons of updates for th teensy.

ok first off do you have a fat or a slim playstation ,,if you have a slim you must unplug the power cable .then quickly plug it back in then plug your jailbreak stick in then press power on button then eject works better if you have a ps3 game in the drive ,,next you need to download backup manager and place it on a usb memmory stick ....now if the hacks working under games you will see a directory called install apps
click on that then install backup manager from your usb stick
..after a few secs it will install then you will backup manger and your ready to go

i already do that. My PS3 it´s slim. Yesterday the ps3break release v1.7 and a new open manager that substituion the backup manager. I put my game folder in PS3 Hdd...but when it goes to start...some games appears no eboot.ini and did´t start.

Wait, so just to be clear, this basically allows the online PSN access like the patch that came out last week, but actually shows your system as at 3.50? So it's finally safe to go online and play games that you bought or paid for? If so, this is great. I wanted to buy Black Ops, but haven't purchased it still since it'll be pointless w/o playing online, but this seems like the solution. Also, is there a version for the iphone 2G yet?

yes it's compatible with the minimus avr usb device. just download PSGroove w/ PSN + 3.50 Spoofing, it will be downloaded in the form of a rar file. unpack, open the hermes folder and you should see a hex file by the name of minimus. use a microcontroller pc application to flash that hex file onto your device and you're all set.

I'm having a bit of issue, I was on PL3 psgroove rockbox for sansa e200. After updating to the spoof compiled sansa rockbox, I have psn access and netflix, however, gaia manager is acting strange. It boots up and I see all of my backups,but when I go to launch I'm just getting an instant black screen. I perused through the comments and I didn't see anyone describing anything like this. Any help or suggestions would be awesome and appreciated!

I don't like the spoof payload. Hermes 4b +PSN keeps crashing after I stop the game and go to the XMB-->videos. NEVER happened before the 3.5 spoof and PSN access...

3.50 games wont boot because your not running 3.50
if a game was compiled with the 3.42 Sony SDK it will work
but if the game is compiled using 3.50 SDK it wont work

Working on my Ti-84+, however Netflix will still not work =(. it boots up and starts loading and then it goes back to the same menu from where i selected the application. I know this sounds weird, but I see little point to this unless I'm missing out something... It shows the 3.50 when jailbroken now, but what's there to gain? I still can't run 3.50 games (tried to run Black Ops), and I could already get on PSN before this. It still shows as a dev unit on the network, so it's not masking anything big from Sony... what's to gain? Is it just over my head/below my feet?

Great Work, but given a majority of ppl are having problems i'll skip this payload.

Many confirm Assassins Creed Brotherhood working on 3.41 without this payload by simple modifications similar to Black Ops.

I'll confirm the same thing a few other people have. psgroove_minimu s_at90usb162_16mhz_firmware_3_15.hex does not work. PS3 on 3.15 FW will hang with a black screen during boot on minimus AVR USB v1.

it spoofs fine, but when i try to load the game that requires 3.50 it get a black screen. y is that .Working with Maximus and Minimus 32u2.

I'm using a pic18f usb dev board(red one) and the hex loads fine and spoofs fine but none of my games off my ext load. using gaia 1.04.1 , thought it was 1.03.1 but upgraded that and still the same. Didn't try all games but Fallout NV StarWars FU II and Transformers WFC didn't work. Switched to my other pic which is locked for some reason with an earlier flash that i don't know. but they work fine. any thoughts?

will This work for the ps jailbreak ?

Games Like SW TFU II wont play (asks to have the console updated to 3.42 firmware
Assasins Creed Brotherhood wont play as the same as splatterhouse (asks for firmware to be updated to 3.5)

Any help on link to HEX would be appreciated. I dont care about PSN , just wanna play these games :)
