More on the E3 Flasher - Pics & Another Video

Along with a new video are finally some product pics of the soon-to-be released E3 Flasher.

This little circuit board of wonders does it all: Downgrade, dual boot; it supports all NAND and NOR PS3 models, it has its own onboard NOR memory too, plus plenty more... It's a solderless install for Slims; fat consoles however, you'll require some soldering. Check their official site at e3-tech.net. We're expecting a review sample soon; we'll let you know how that goes ... and perhaps we'll give a few away too. But if for some reason you just can't wait, you can preorder here at Acekard.ca. The E3 Flasher is selling for $88.99 USD and $89.69 CAD.

There are fixes for the Waninkoko brick but they have thus far required one of the other chips that require soldering. It's difficult to tell whether this will work on a Waninkoko brick but considering those were all phats and you would have to solder this on a phat then you're not really getting much of an advantage over one of the other chips already on the market.

On PS3 Slims (maybe on some of the later PS3 Phat models as well?) parts of the firmware is on the harddrive. So switching between two different firmware versions means that you also have to swap harddisk as well.

256mb nand consoles, the old phats like the 60gb, do not store firmware on the HDD. (When you put a new HDD in them, they do not ask for a firmware update like the newer ones).

Meh, what can you do. They are a business after all. Plus it at least comes with an eSata doc. When you consider most chips like these cost around 50-60 bucks, not to mention the fact that it's solder-less for slims, from a business prospective it makes sense.

That's not to say I would buy it though. I'll just wait another half year and see if someone manages to make a 3.7+ CFW. Especially considering I'm using a phat PS3.

lolololol, this allows you to dualboot if you have a second drive. So, when sony checks my drive for CFW when I am online, they won't find any thing.

No.The only thing this allows you to do is boot from one of two firmwares. (If you have an extra HDD).

Not what I said. You will still need two to dual boot since the nand on the console cannot store 2 different firmwares at the same time.

you can downgrade any ps3, if you want dual boot FW then you will need 2 HDD per console. If not then just downgrade to 3.41 or 3.55 and stay their which requires one HDD

Yes you can use this device as many ps3 that you want. If your gonna use dual boot make sure you have a 2- 2.5 or 3.5 HDD for each console. Or downgrade one per console and have them labeled what firmware's are flashed.

Perhaps but you havent seriously shopped around either, I promise you will not find a ps3 with the FW of 3.55 and below under 200$ and if so most likely need to be reballed or reflowed.

The most great thing about this product is that it works on any Nor/Nand devices so it can be use for more then ps3

So about that there is gonna be 3000 being released 3000 is nothing 3000 is gone like yesterday, and about the instructions 4 the fatty ps3 how to install it , i would buy it but if you would only release 3000 thats gone by the minute men you know it , this system is the best way i dont think another cfw will be released , i whus very stupid at that time i had my console jb on 3.55 but afther the tread mail from sony i just updated it at that time its not like yesterday but stupid that i did that , but just like ps2 , ps3 need a kind of modchip , the cfw is a very very good but will there ever be another ? , and if it could help with a modchip or something like that , modchips in the past always whus a succes at the older consoles , like on de ps2 it worked for many years even now

and even my psone hahaha that shows the strength of
Modchips , like on the ps3 when running on a cfw sony could see whut there systeem could do if the system is running on cfw on a ofw the ps3 is too dom with only so tiny little functions to do and like on a cfw de systeem is so much more than just a game console , sony should watch see and learn and not be so greedy about there system.

The only person who should get this would be somebody who could make it cheaper for the rest of us or make free. These guys are trying to say the price is good for all you get pffffft. The first e3 usb dongle wss what 50$ now its selling for 9.99 hmmm. The differnce between a single consumer a business buying is builk the ydo get it ALOT cheaper then us. They trying to claim oh you buy this on ebey this is the price. Umm no... you didnt pay that much for it. You go to a Burger king and get soda.
