Sure, you could buy a simple solution to hack your PS3, but where's the XP in that? To be the coolest and earn your keep you gotta do it yourself; build your own PSGroove Arduino PCB with mercury's schematics. Head to your local electronic shop, buy the parts, put it together, and flash ricardopvz's "dual-booting" hex (Hermes v4b and PL3) for the Duemilanove. This PCB is designed for that. Its an ATmega328.. Standard from a Duemilanove Arduino Board... you can buy a set of components from http://www.oomlout.co.uk/compo... and then you'll need to add the zeners, a few resitors and another LED.
You'll need a arduino board to program it in or some kind of AVR programmer. If you dont have one though get a Duemilanove - They're great fun (or an Uno its called now!)

Do you think a resonator would be sufficient instead of a crystal? I can't imagine it affecting the timing too much since it only needs to run a boot payload, and off course the change to the pcb, but I just wanted to throw the question out there.
