An Important Message from PS Jailbreak

Thanks gorgo! Seems like the PS Jailbreak crew are changing up their business model... Sort of, kind of... As of today PS Downgrade is now unlimited, which I would assume lets you downgrade/upgrade whenever you want; it's no longer a one-time-only thing. Upgrade to 3.50, enjoy the latest games, 3D, PSN, and when you want homebrew or hacks simply downgrade back to 3.41 (or 3.15 for OtherOS). That's cool. PS Jailbreak also mentions this:

Next, as of today all new hardware shipped will come with PSdowngrade installed free of charge. PSP620: I'm totally on board with that thinking... A free port is around the corner, and they're looking to cash in as best they can before that happens. Makes sense.

I concur with J-machines comment as well. Granted, I can't fault anyone for wanting compensation for their effort but a 100 bucks for the device and software sounds excessive to me as well. Given they're in the 10 dollar range all over the net (clones granted... but who cares, they all cost the same to manufacture), why should it be 100 bucks?

Now if they went with a more reasonable pricing structure, wouldn't it appeal more to the general population?

Say 25 bucks for the dongle and software? Even though I have three of these devices, I'd pay 25 bucks for a hassle free solution like this but 100 bucks... Hmmm, I don't think so.

well well looks like 500 dollars is coming my way cause they release on 29th i will release on thursday ,,,,,i new they would panic thats why im on to finalizing my software i will promote on every website i can imagine i will make it my own yes jailbreak might have won but i will release on to usb hard drive sd card before them on my gorgo dongle may the west is won greg get ready for my cheque to go direct to my pay pal cause i have finished now i want be happy to i get my dollars yeha

I don't like them either, Xile. I paid $150 for my PS Jailbreak and $40 for this Downgrade. I really can't complain because it IS worth the value.

It's just a shame they had full intent on cashing in on a software update knowing they would release it openly less than two weeks later.

I have a 3.50 system and have yet to taste a Jailbroken PS3 so waiting means nothing to me now.

I requested my refund from PS-Downgrade so hopefully I'll get my $40 back and wait til the Holidays :)

yea i got an e3 card reader for $20usd Im waiting for it to come in the mail now. Also buying my ps2 this wk because i been on the crap box but i finally got tried of re-flowing it every day so im back to my beloved sony

Must be a ps jailbreak from there website. You also must have a serial number from the packaging i believe.

This hasnt been ported for other jailbreak devices yet. Give it about 2 wks

it can play original software

it can play back up 3d blueray on a normal dvd

it can also supoort linux
and yellowdog built into the back up manager

gorgo has written a backup manager containing mame 32 and

namco 22 arcade board

it also has a built in homebrew channel for you to watch online sattalite tvs from around the world
also lets you download from a server the latest mp3 albums and films in blueray dvd and mp4 and play them off the harddrive with videolan built in

lastly this tool is unbeatable not even ps3jailbreak knows about this gorgo has managed to somehow put

a beta working xbox360 emualtor working on it it running off linux through it channels it only loads the boot up screen at the moment he has full access to the ps3 graphics chips and 2 processors

be patience gorgo software is coming and free of course

the gorgo custom firmware unblocks the usb port sony blocked

it can keep the current firmware installed all it does is unblock the usb posrt block so it works on all firmware u install it as a normal firmware
he be releasing it when sony releases the new firmware after 3.50 to make it see if it still works

as for the psn store gorgo says you dont need it

he has took it out and removed the ps3 spying sony from it so they never know whatu got playing on it he has designed his own homebrew channel with the forementiond goodies on it :)

...spend 99 dollars, Sony releases firmware 3.60, from which you can no longer use the downgrader and also no more psn, I only recommend buying the downgrader if you plan to go on firmware 3.41 and decide to stay there for the long run. And if anything, just wait for an open source solution, if your a rich focker and loves to buy anything, then go for it.

he does coding for four hours a day he has 4 kids and a wife to look after
anyway gorgo says all the software will be done by january 21st next year as you know it nearly the xmas season and he want to relase all the packages for the ps3hack scene
