A Better Fix for Uncharted 3 on CFW 3.55

The custom firmware 3.55 patch we provided last for Uncharted 3 left players unable to view Drake's Journal, which obviously hinders game play to some extent. But hey, nobody's perfect... So back to the drawing board and this is what someone came up with: Another, fully working patch for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception on CFW 3.55, tested on KMEAW. Just follow these instructions, courtesy of LoverboySimer:

Move PSARC.EXE + zlib.net.dll to \USRDIR\build\main\ of your UNCHARTED 3 GAME DATA folder (not the one included with this package)
Extract ALL *.psarc's into the folder they are already in (\USRDIR\build\main\) on your HDD by dragging each .PSARC file onto PSARC.EXE (delete the .PSARC files after you have extracted them to folders) When you're done it should look like this: ..\USRDIR\build\main\actor33\ ..\USRDIR\build\main\animstream4\ ..\USRDIR\build\main\bin\dc1\ ..\USRDIR\build\main\pak23\ ..\USRDIR\build\main\text1\ **IMPORTANT: When you unpack bin.psarc it creates two folders - empty bin folder and one bindc1 folder with files. Rename folder bindc1 to dc1 and put it in the \main\bin\ folder so it looks like this: \main\bin\dc1\
Now, merge included USRDIR folder with the existing one where you extracted your psarcs. OVERWRITE all files when prompted.
Transfer to your PS3, load in Multiman, launch from XMB.

Furthermore, an even easier method, batch scripted by paul_met:

Copy the archive to a folder "PS3_GAME" with the replacement of all files.
Follow the path "PS3_GAME => USRDIR => build" run "Start.bat".
Wait until the end of the patch.

the only bad thing, sometimes the game loads the scenario really slow (mainly when the auto-saving is happening) and you will only see invisible walls (sometimes even events doesn't happens as it should because of this constant file searching)... or maybe is the game searching the psarc files but since it doesn't find then it starts searching the required files in the folders. uncharted games has constant data streaming... so searching every time causes these unnecessary loadings which the disc version doesn't have.

the game freezing, right after the part where we are and escape the fire, the fix is not as good as expected, but in the sameproceedings of a good job..

Can we get a Dark Souls 3.55 patch now? It seems since BF3 and Uncharted 3 both got it... why not Dark Souls?

Actually the texture loading, level loading, and freeze ups have been
fixed. Unfortunately the news venues are about a day behind the actual
fixes, etc.

Check the usual sites for the 100% complete and current fix. That' fixes everything!

Im doing these steps and it shows that it is unpatching but at the end there is no folder

copy PSARC.EXE + zlib.net.dll to \USRDIR\build\m ain\ of your UNCHARTED 3 GAME DATA folder

Extract ALL *.psarc's , actor33.psarc, animstream4.psarc, etc...only one file per time, while extracting the bin.psarc, if it give you an error copy the file to another folder in the desktop and the PSARC.EXE + zlib.net.dllto the same folder and try again, when you have extracted all the .psarc files delect the originals and copy the included USRDIR folder to the existing one where you extracted your psarcs. OVERWRITE all files when prompted.

if so were did you put the game in the ps3 hdd or external hdd???

Hi there everybody i have a question, when you get to the sink or swim chapter and you already fell off the chandelier and then you head to the only way out, do you get a cut scene where the captain of the ship shoots the glass ceiling and then you start running? because i dont and well i cant move forward in the game since once i start running down a hallway i know the entire ship is supposed to be turning so then you can keep running onto the next hallways ceiling but for some weird reason the ship doesnt turn at all and i always die and cant move on, its really frustrating but if you know of a fix id appreciate it thank you =)

I did it exactly as the tutorial said except when I put the first pak23 file into the parsac.exe, it created a folder called pak23.parsac. When I put the other 8 pak23 files into the parsac.exe, it did not do anything.

I renamed the pak23.parsac folder to pak23 then copied the net file into that from pak23 folder in the fix.

I put it on the HDD as it has files bigger than 4GB which I thought was weird as the tutorial video says you can play it from HDD or USB.
