We hope that you guys had an enjoyable New Year's celebration. With the festivities dying down, it's time to get back to bringing you the latest scene news. The 3key Optical Disc Drive Emulator (ODDE) for the PS3 is behind schedule but progress is still being made. The guys at PS3Crunch have uploaded a new demonstration video of the 3key in action, working with a Phat PS3. The video shows Dishonored and Hitman: Absolution being launched and run as well as other games being loaded and swapped out by the system. Alongside the demonstration video is a shot of the 3key hardware being used for testing. As you can see, the device on the left side is the 3key ODDE where you can select the games that you want to load. Opposite that is the PS3's BluRay logic board and drive, in which the 3key is connected to work its magic.
It's just a peek into the gist of things as work progresses on the 3key. Hopefully, the 3key will be released in the near future. You can check out all the details at the source.
