Owners of the PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset, lend me your ears!
After a long month of no online gaming, I decided to return to Battlefield 3 with my PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset on my head. After 4.10 and 4.11 had been pushed out, I was hoping for some improved voice chat quality, anything to improve my online gaming experience. Instead, along with thousands of others my headset now lets me listen to my own voice whilst I game.
If you too are suffering from this problem, the cause is unfortunately 4.11. The update for some reason has decided to relay your voice back through the headset for you to hear. This doesn't happen when using it on your PC, only on the PS3. From what I have read, it is not all users who have this problem, but it does look like a ridiculous amount of people are irritated by this audible mishap.
Hopefully in the next update this will be fixed, but for now, hopefully you like the sound of your own voice.

Just extract the bluetooth stack from a working firmware and replace the file in dev_flash from MultiMAN.

Wouldn't that be a bit hard on 4.11 considering it isn't jailbroken yet?

I experienced this phenomenon whilst using Turtlebeach headset with OFW 4.00. After looking into a way to stop it happening I found mention that it is deliberate and is called "Foldback" , it is designed to stop you shouting into your mic too loudly.

It was 4.10 that caused the mic to be open and feeding to the headphones at all times, even when you physically mute the mic, select 'Off' on the microphone level setting, and select 'Do not use' on the input device setting. I was hoping that when 4.11 was released shortly after, that it would resolve the wireless stereo headset issue, but it was just a tiny update gearing up for Vita content joining the PlayStation Network. Hopefully Sony adds a fix for the headset when they resolve the PS Plus free minis not working for the Vita issue.

PS3 Bluetooth headset is very populay one. PS3 Wireless headset have become not unuseual for household use like watching television or paying attention to playing the games.
