PS3 No Longer Needs Viagra

Submitted by HolmesInFive; March 05, 2012

On a minor tangent of topic, you can check out some more details about the Starhawk Beta on PS3 here.

Since the infamous PSN hacking thanks to the ever so "helpful" Anonymous, Sony has in my opinion done a pretty good job in keeping the PSN up and running at its prime.  The maintenance that was performed earlier this month saw the PSN down for a day, but in reality, this is the first time the network has been down in ages.

For a free online service (contrary to its competition "Xbox Live") the PSN delivers a lot more than I think Sony's community give credit to.  Free online gaming, a store full of content (ignoring the occasional purhcasing problems), party chat on the Vita and text for PS3 as well as a maxinum of 100 friends (no one games with that many people at a time, so there's nothing to complain about).

I'm really just using this article to shed some light on what I think is a great service when you take into consideration just how much we get for nothing.  getting back to the main point of this productive post the day of maintenance is over, so get back online and "pwn some n00bz" as the kids of todays generation say.

Now that I read this, your showing me a bighter side on Sony. Maybe there not such bad people who we think they are. They are business trying to make money like the rest of world are; or trying to; but like all business company there main goal is to keep the consumer happy.

I have no idea what I just said... But I think I sounded smart...

+1 I never had to pay extra to play multiplayer games on PC. The only reason it costs to play Multiplayer is because the companies refuse to allow people to run their own servers and like stealing people's money.

But I have to disagree with the fact that you don't pay for PSN. You might not pay for it in the same way you pay for Live but you still pay by having your information hacked, getting features stolen from your property, and having to put up with Sony's bullshit. If you ask me I'd rather go with Live at least then you know how you're going to pay for multiplayer.

I read the title and thought that we wouldn't need the dongles for cobra and trueblue firmwares!

Hehe...  See where I went there? (And where I was hoping you were goin'?)

I don't understand the point of this article and the other articles that this site have turned into.  I'm not trying to be rude, but I used to come to this site and know that every article was related to actual modding.  Now all the actual hacking articles get pushed down by other articles, and they're often treated too unprofessionall y.

Haha no!  I just realised a lot of the service we take for granted with it being free.

It is getting a bit hard now to constantly deliver articles and at the same time make them all about development in the PlayStation scene.  Hopefully with the PS Vita more will be updated there, but the PS3 side of things is dying down a bit now, hence more "opinionated articles" are being written out to hopefully keep you guys reading until something big happens.

Apologies for the lack of modding articles, but as I said, the actual modding to write about is getting scarce.

Haha didn't see that when I wrote the title.  Trying to make the article headers more cryptic now, so I wouldn't make any more assumptions until you start reading the article lol.

good service for free.

I prefer xbox live to be free than pay money ( I already pay money to buy the games, thus I do not want to pay extra money to play online)

did you know someone hack stream. That mean Someone stolen some property in stream. However, you still need to pay money for stream.

you Should go and blame hackers who hack psn. They are the main problem, not Sony.
