PS3 Firmware Debug 4.21 Firmware Available

For those on the debug (DEX) side of things, you can upgrade your console to the 4.21 debug firmware, released yesterday. For those interested, you can take a look at the changed files between the 4.20 debug firmware and the 4.21 one.

If you're thinking of upgrading and use any homebrew specifically meant for DEX consoles, you might want to take a look at this compatibility list by Lightyear @ PS3ISO, to make sure everything will work as it should, after the update.

 

3.55 downgrade pup: working
BDemu: working
showtime 4.0: working
multiman 0.4.05.01: not working!!! (freezes at load screen)
retail 4.21 game disks: ​working

Well no shit Multiman isn't working. It's stock debug, it doesn't have peek/poke added.

ok to get this straight THIS IS NOT A 4.21 CFW.

to install this YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE A 3.55 DEBUG (DEX) CONSOLE.

jesus fecking christ DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW HOW TO READ.

you cant install this over a normal 3.55 CFW, it does allow multiman you need to install the DEX version, this will not allow you to play backups above 3.55, and its likely PSN and ONLINE GAMING will be blocked as soon as a new OFW is released.

THIS IS SOLEY FOR THOSE THAT WISH TO PLAY THEIR BACKUPS ASWELL AS ORIGINAL GAMES, JUST LIKE THE E3 3.55 - 4.21 FLASH KIT.

REPEAT, THIS IS NOT A 4.21 CFW, IF YOU READ THIS PROPERLY YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS.

Thanks Asshole that really helped! See the f$!&ing sarcasm there? I have the 3.55 fm but I have the Rebug firmware with the spoofer and was asking that if it would of worked on that firmware. My apologies on saying that is a custom firmware. I meant firmware douche.

question i need to ask is, can you read?? does it say it can downgrade 4.21 OFW??

NO IT DONT, it CLEARLY SAYS you need to be on 3.55 DEX CFW in order to install this.

so COMMON SENSE will tell you that it cant be installed on 4.21 OFW, so why ask???

I believe I said I haven't been in the scene for a while now, didn't know how Dex works, and that it can only be installed on a 3.55 dex. You just seem to wanna abuse everyone here, instead of helping out.

I clicked the link just to find out that this was not a cfw or a downgrader:(
I'm still on ofw 4.00.
Are there any cfw for that version or a way to downgrade to 3.55 cfw?
