PS3 Firmware 4.20 Inbound - To Make Way For A New Accessory?

Sony is just about ready to knock it out the box at E3. Before the festivities, they have hinted at a new firmware coming for the PS3 to make way for a new accessory...
It's the PULSE Wireless Stereo Headset and it looks like something for the audiophiles. Before we stray too off-topic, let's see what the new firmware is about.
After the wining and dining is done, Sony says that the BassImpact technology, on-screen headset updates and the 7.1 surround sound are all features to be included in firmware 4.20. There's no release window mentioned on either the headset nor the firmware but being that it's E3, we may see something pop up soon.
On top of that, firmware 4.20 may or may not be the next one on the line. We may see a 4.12 and a 4.15 before then. Of course, if anything pops up, we'll keep you posted.
