In the past, PS2 emulation on PS3 has been something of a spotty effort. If you bought an older system, you just might be enjoying backwards compatibility while newer versions are more or less left in the dust. However that could change with this new Sony job posting.

If you're a DEX PS3 user on a Mac, odds are you're pretty used to not getting the respect you deserve in terms of the tools you have available to you. Thanks to a new release from Marcocanic however, you'll at least be able to switch games on your BDEmu drives.

Just in case you don't know what the cobra dongle is, it is a device that you can plug into your custom firmware PS3 and run a backup PS2 or PSX game in your PS3 or even an ISO copy. Sounds good right? But you need to buy the dongle to get the features... until now.

After the fun April Fools day is over we can finally start looking at releases as being legit again and the Devs opium2k, Maister and Squarepusher have delivered one awesome emulator. SSNES 0.9.5 is well, just about every system in one. It emulates NES, GB/GBC/GBA.
