Following up with our previous article concerning Iris Manager, comes some news that will excite many a PlayStation 3 scener.

REBUG have decided to kick off the new year for everyone running PS3 CFW, with something fresh, up to date, and packed full of useful and stable features to make your 4.30 CFW a smooth experience in 2013.

In the past I have published stories about deroad's homebrew store known as PSChannel. Now, I can officially say that packages are here alongside a new update that provides some pretty nice bugfixes.

In case you haven't heard, the Ouya is the first mainstream  hackable console. If that's the case, you can bet emulators are going to be popular, but this one looks especially exciting.

After yesterdays release of multiMAN which brought some major speed enhancements comes yet another release by PlayStation 3 developer Deank.

News just in that PlayStation 3 developer oct0xor has reversed engineered the Cobra USB dongle. In his new blog he explains that it took a mere three days to do so.

In the past, PS2 emulation on PS3 has been something of a spotty effort. If you bought an older system, you just might be enjoying backwards compatibility while newer versions are more or less left in the dust. However that could change with this new Sony job posting.

Another multiMAN update brings support for those with broken Blu-Ray drives and CFW Rebug.

After his previous release of Resident Evil Mugen character pack for PlayStation 3 custom firmware users. Daveyshamble501 has released a beta version of Paintown Resident Evil.

If you're a DEX PS3 user on a Mac, odds are you're pretty used to not getting the respect you deserve in terms of the tools you have available to you. Thanks to a new release from Marcocanic however, you'll at least be able to switch games on your BDEmu drives.

After several unofficial builds of RetroArch we are finally graced with the latest official release. Developers Twinaphex and Themaister have released version 0.9.7 with two added cores, Mednafen Woderswan & PC Engine Fast.

PS3 developer pete_uk has released an unofficial compiled pack of Retro Arch version 0.9.7. So if you have been wondering what Twinaphex, aka Squarepusher, and the libretro team have been up to. Check out this unofficial release!

Well news is a bit slow around the web since all the big news from yesterday but that doesnt mean there is nothing out there, and weve found a nice Multi System Emulator for you to check out.

Just in case you don't know what the cobra dongle is, it is a device that you can plug into your custom firmware PS3 and run a backup PS2 or PSX game in your PS3 or even an ISO copy.  Sounds good right?  But you need to buy the dongle to get the features... until now.

After the fun April Fools day is over we can finally start looking at releases as being legit again and the Devs opium2k, Maister and Squarepusher have delivered one awesome emulator. SSNES 0.9.5 is well, just about every system in one.  It emulates NES, GB/GBC/GBA.
